Final Advent

Final Advent is the eighth album, which became the band's final release for AFM Records, a record the label called its “most coherent and definitive” yet. As on the previous album, Jacob Hansen handled the mix and mastering, further refining the language of modern melodic metal. Treating a break before recording as an opportunity, the band focused on writing and production and delivered its most concentrated set of songs to date. The playing throughout is of a high standard, combining detail with drive. The album opens strongly with the single “Power of Will,” and the following “Advent” presses on with drive and dramatic melody. “Natural Born Killer,” “The White” and “Yours” are all hook-heavy songs that received music videos. On “All the Devils Are Here” and “Heart of Darkness,” weight and melody bind at high density. A structure in which speed, weight and huge choruses follow one another without a gap marks a culmination of modern-era Dynazty. Nils Molin's singing pulls the whole together vividly.
