Original Album Series is DREAM THEATER's box in the budget series of that name from Rhino, Warner's catalogue label, issued in 2011. It holds five albums, one to a disc: Images and Words (1992), Awake (1994), Falling into Infinity (1997), Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory (1999) and Train of Thought (2003). The one studio album of those years it leaves out is the two-disc Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (2002).
The band's own site counts Images and Words, released through ATCO on 7 July 1992, as its second studio album and Train of Thought as its seventh. The five come to forty-nine tracks. The box reached Japan as a European import, catalogue number 8122797630.
