The Warner Recordings 1985-1994 brings together, for the first time and all newly remastered, DAVID LEE ROTH's first five solo releases: the Crazy from the Heat EP (1985), Eat 'Em and Smile (1986), Skyscraper (1988), A Little Ain't Enough (1991) and Your Filthy Little Mouth (1994). Rhino issued it on 21 February 2025 on five CDs, digitally, and as a five-LP set sold only at Rhino.com.
By Warner's account, Crazy from the Heat came out on 28 January 1985, reached the Billboard 200's top fifteen and went platinum, and its "California Girls" reached number three on the Hot 100, as the Beach Boys' original had. Eat 'Em and Smile, released on 7 July 1986 with Billy Sheehan, Gregg Bissonette and Steve Vai, went top five and platinum. Skyscraper, produced by Roth with Vai as co-producer, went platinum and put him back in the top ten with "Just Like Paradise". A Little Ain't Enough, produced by Bob Rock with Jason Becker on guitar, went gold, and Your Filthy Little Mouth was made with Nile Rodgers and includes a duet with Travis Tritt. Fifty tracks in all.
