In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

It was recorded at Applehead Recording in Woodstock, New York, and produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner. The album is part of the story the singer Claudio Sanchez tells in his graphic novel series The Amory Wars, and it is the second instalment of the tetralogy about the Keywork. Ten years after Second Stage Turbine Blade, the son Claudio emerges from the depths of Shylos Ten, the "quiet" planet where the Red Army carries out its interrogations and imprisonments. Finding that his entire family has been murdered, he sets out for vengeance; his enemies Wilhelm Ryan and General Mayo Deftinwolf sense he is alive and holds special powers, and know they must stop him first. The Camper Velourium of the titles is a ship, and Al the Killer is the freighter pilot who turns their plans around. It reached number 52 on the Billboard 200, sold more than five hundred thousand copies and was certified gold by the RIAA. Entertainment Weekly named it one of the five key albums of the new progressive rock. Three singles were taken from it: "A Favor House Atlantic", "Blood Red Summer" and the title track. Whether tracks seven to nine are called "The Camper Velourium" or "The Velourium Camper" is disputed; the running order here follows the original CD as printed.
