LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
The Mercury Years puts all four CINDERELLA studio albums, Night Songs (1986), Long Cold Winter (1988), Heartbreak Station (1990) and Still Climbing (1994), on five CDs with a disc of B-sides and live recordings. Caroline International released it on 28 September 2018. It was put together with the help of singer and guitarist Tom Keifer, and Andy Pearce mastered it from the original tapes where they were available.
The fifth disc includes six songs from a live EP released in Japan. Heartbreak Station reached number 19 in America and went platinum, and Still Climbing, planned for 1991, was delayed until 1994 when Keifer lost his voice. The CDs come in card sleeves in a clamshell box with a 16-page booklet carrying a new interview with Keifer by the journalist Malcolm Dome. Sixty-five tracks in all.
