LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Forever (Legendary Edition) takes every song from Forever, released in June 2024, and presents it with a guest, adding one new song, "Red, White and Jersey". The guests are Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Joe Elliott of Def Leppard, Avril Lavigne, James Bay, Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Lainey Wilson, Marcus King, Billy Falcon and The War & Treaty, and "We Made It Look Easy" also appears in a Spanish version with Carín León.
Jon Bon Jovi has explained where the idea came from. In a comment published by Universal Music Japan he says that Forever came out while he was recovering from vocal surgery: he could sing in the studio but had not got back to the level touring demands, so he asked his friends for help in delivering the album.
It was released on 24 October 2025, the same day at home and abroad. Universal Music Japan issued two SHM-CD editions, both carrying liner notes by Masanori Ito along with lyrics and translations. The Japan-only limited set, UICY-80674/5, is two discs in a seven-inch card sleeve; the fifteenth track on its first disc is another new song, "Fight Somebody", which Universal Music Japan says is otherwise available only on a 2LP sold through the band's own store and the Universal Music Store, and its second disc is the 2024 Japanese edition of Forever, fourteen tracks including two bonus tracks. The standard edition, UICY-16332, holds the fourteen songs of Forever (Legendary Edition) alone. BonJoviVEVO carries Gil Green's video for "Red, White and Jersey", and during 2025 the band's channel posted lyric videos for twelve of the collaborations.
