All Time Best 1984-2024

All Time Best 1984-2024 is a Japan-only compilation, released by Universal Music on 20 November 2024. The standard first pressing is a single SHM-CD of sixteen songs running about an hour and twenty-one minutes (UICY-80525, JAN 4988031676196). A three-disc edition and a three-disc set with a Blu-ray came out the same day, and the digital edition runs to fifty songs. What shapes the record is how the songs were picked: the contents were decided by a vote among Japanese fans. Heard as one disc, the opening run of ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Born to Be My Baby’ says plainly which songs have lasted here, and the early placing of ‘These Days’, ‘In These Arms’ and ‘Bed of Roses’ is the same vote talking. The sixteenth and last is ‘Legendary’, which had been issued as a Japan-only CD single that April. The set marks forty years since the 1984 debut; the booklet carries previously unpublished photographs from Japanese tours, the names of the fans who voted, and a message and signature from Jon Bon Jovi.
