Aqua

Aqua is a work on which, under a worldview themed on water, ANGRA bound Brazilian rhythmic feel, progressive development and the elation of melodic power metal. The technical playing is dense to the details, but at the center of the songs an impressive melody is always placed. Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, it is a concept album. On “Arising Thunder,” “Lease of Life” and “The Rage of the Waters,” within arrangement that balances grandeur and dynamism, the fine movement of the rhythm is also worth attention. Songs like “Spirit of the Air” and “A Monster in Her Eyes” breathe the band’s full playing too. It is the record that became the last work on which Edu Falaschi was a member. A flowing sound world evoking the flow of water runs throughout. It is an ambitious record that achieved a progressive deepening.
