Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 marks fifty years with nineteen tracks, and it is not a compilation of the original recordings: the band's best-known songs are re-recorded here, each with guest players from outside the group. The two videos released ahead of it show the shape of the thing. “Balls To The Wall” carries Rob Halford, Matthias Jabs, Rex Brown and Jason Bowld; “Fast As A Shark” brings in Phil Anselmo, Kirk Hammett, Billy Sheehan and Mikkey Dee. Judas Priest, Scorpions, Pantera, Metallica, Motörhead — the guests come from different countries and different generations. The selection stays early. “Fast as a Shark”, “Restless and Wild”, “Demon's Night” and “Save Us” come from 1982's Restless and Wild; “Balls to the Wall”, “London Leatherboys” and “Love Child” from 1983's Balls to the Wall; “Metal Heart”, “Up to the Limit”, “Aiming High” and “Wrong is Right” from 1985's Metal Heart. “Breaker”, “Run If You Can”, “Fight It Back”, “Losers and Winners” and “Monsterman” are drawn from 1981's Breaker, “Starlight” from the 1979 debut, and “T.V. War” from 1986's Russian Roulette. Fifty years in the title; the first eight in the running order.
