The Circle of Life is a work on which FREEDOM CALL layered light twin guitars, glittering keyboards and mass sing-along choruses. Placing speed and brightness forward, the melody also keeps a gentle lyricism. It is a record that further enriched the clear style built up to the previous album. On “Mother Earth,” “Carry On” and “Hunting High and Low,” positive elation runs through the whole album, naturally pushing the listener forward. Songs like “Kings & Queens,” “Hero Nation” and “The Eternal Flame” breathe the band’s full playing too. Fast power-metal songs and pleasant mid-tempos coexist naturally.
