オーストラリア出身のロックンロール・バンド、AIRBOURNE（エアボーン）が2019年作『BONESHAKER』以来7年ぶりに放つセルフ・タイトル・アルバム。国内盤はビッグ・ナッシング／ウルトラ・ヴァイヴより2026年9月2日発売（海外は8月28日）。本作は故レミー・キルミスター（MOTÖRHEAD）に捧げられている。最大のトピックは、ブライアン・アダムスと、AC/DCの『HIGHWAY TO HELL』(1979)以降のヒット作やDEF LEPPARDの諸作を手がけた名プロデューサー、ロバート・ジョン "マット" ランジという2人のレジェンドが曲作りに参加していること。バンドの古巣Roadrunner RecordsでA&Rを務めたダンテ・ボヌットの紹介でブライアンが作曲プロジェクトに加わり、そのブライアンがマットを引き込んだという経緯だという。先行曲は2025年5月の「Gutsy」を皮切りに「Christmas Bonus」「Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)」「Kid In A Candy Store」が公開済みで、汗と埃の匂いが直に伝わる豪快なロックンロールは健在だ。

Australian rock and roll band Airbourne return with their self-titled album, their first in seven years since 2019's Boneshaker. The Japanese edition arrives on 2 September 2026 through Big Nothing / Ultra-Vibe, a week after the international release on 28 August. The record is dedicated to the late Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. Its biggest talking point is the songwriting: Bryan Adams and Robert John "Mutt" Lange — the producer behind AC/DC's Highway to Hell (1979) and a long run of Def Leppard hits — both took part. Adams joined the writing project through Dante Bonutto, once A&R at Airbourne's old label Roadrunner Records, and it was Adams who in turn brought Lange in. "Gutsy" led the way in May 2025, followed by "Christmas Bonus", "Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)" and "Kid In A Candy Store" — all of them proof that the band's sweaty, full-throttle rock and roll is undiminished.
