Hell Or High Water, Yngwie Malmsteen's twenty-third studio album, is dedicated to his father, who died in 2025 and for whom he wrote "Father", the last song of the album proper. By his own account he spent eight months at home writing, finished eighty or ninety pieces and kept the nine strongest, and he built the running time, forty-six minutes, to fit one vinyl LP. Malmsteen says he sings on four songs. "Am Caprice/Hell Or High Water", "Antikythera" and "Beyond Zeta Reticuli" are instrumentals, the latter two named after scientific breakthroughs and discoveries, and the credits King Records has published list him on guitars (acoustic included), bass, keyboards, sitar, cello and vocals. The first single, "Now Or Never", came with a video in August 2026. It is his first album since Parabellum in July 2021, and Music Theories Recordings / Artone Label Group release it worldwide on 13 November 2026, the CD as MTR77902. King Records' Japanese CD, KICP-4128, is out the same day, and it adds an alternate version of "(He Is) Living A Lie" that no international edition has; so does the limited heavyweight double LP (KIJP-90003~4) that follows in Japan on 11 December 2026. Participating shops give the Japanese CD a sticker of the sleeve art while stocks last.
