Exit Plan is a new album from Withering Surface, the Danish melodic death metal band who have been going since 1994, and it carries on the Nordic melodic death metal line they helped build, with lyrical twin guitars and keyboards through it. The Japanese edition was released to mark their Japanese shows in October 2024 alongside their countrymen Manticora. Mighty Music released it on 7 June 2024, and King Records issued the Japanese edition as a limited pressing, KICP-94074, on 28 August 2024, adding "The Misery I Keep" to the international edition's ten tracks — eleven in all, about 46 minutes.
