Trollslayer is the sixth album by Wind Rose, the Italian power metal band who sing about dwarves, and their first in two years. They began in 2000 as Power Rose, took their present name in 2009 and made their album debut with Shadows Over Lothadruin in 2012, following it with Wardens of the West Wind on Scarlet Records in 2015. Wintersaga, their 2019 Napalm Records debut, brought them a much wider audience; the song Diggy Diggy Hole from it has passed fifty million plays, and 2022's Warfront reached the top ten of the US Current Hard Music Albums chart. This one again leans on folk metal and singalong choruses, played by Francesco Cavalieri (vocals), Claudio Falconcini (guitar), Federico Meranda (keyboards), Cristiano Bertocchi (bass) and Federico Gatti (drums). Nine tracks. Napalm released it worldwide on 4 October 2024 and Ward Records issued the Japanese edition, GQCS-91515, the same day.
