In Death Throes
In Death Throes is Vomitory's first album since Christian Fredriksson, who had already played most of the solos on 2023's All Heads Are Gonna Roll, became their official lead guitarist in January 2025 following the departure of longtime guitarist Peter Östlund, and he contributed music to four of its songs.

In Death Throes is Vomitory's first album since Christian Fredriksson, who had already played most of the solos on 2023's All Heads Are Gonna Roll, became their official lead guitarist in January 2025 following the departure of longtime guitarist Peter Östlund, and he contributed music to four of its songs. Drummer Tobias Gustafsson and bassist-vocalist Erik Rundqvist started writing in the summer of 2024, beginning with "Two and a Half Men" and then the opener "Rapture in Rupture", and the line-up, completed by guitarist Urban Gustafsson, recorded at several studios in late 2025. The Swedish death metal band formed in 1989, released eight albums between 1996 and 2011, split in 2013 and came back to the stage in 2019. Metal Blade Records released the ten-track album on 10 April 2026; this listing is the import CD. Official videos for "For Gore and Country" and "Wrath Unbound", the latter directed by Marcus Svensson, sit alongside an animated clip for "Rapture in Rupture".
