Retas is the first album by Voice of Baceprot, the Indonesian trio formed in 2014 in Singajaya, a village outside Garut in West Java — and this Japanese release is the first time it has existed as a CD anywhere. System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine are where the three of them started, and the lyrics, in a mixture of English and Sundanese, go straight at war, the environment and the sexual exploitation of women. The 2018 single "School Revolution" got them properly going; a conversation with Tom Morello followed in 2021 and a first North American tour in 2023. P-Vine released it on 12 June 2024 as PCD-25387 with Japanese liner notes and translated lyrics, and a live cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" that only the Japanese edition carries — ten tracks, about forty minutes.
