Welcome to Hell, the first Venom album, released in 1981, returns in a Japanese edition Marquee Incorporated issued on 28 May 2025 as MICP-30205 — the first reissue here in seventeen years. The English band came out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and left a mark on almost everything that followed under the name of metal. Disc one carries the eleven-song album on high-fidelity SHM-CD in a cardboard sleeve; disc two adds thirteen more: 7-inch versions of "In League With Satan", "Live Like An Angel", "Bloodlust" and "In Nomine Satanas", a run of demos taped at Impulse Studios, and the 1979 Church Hall Rehearsals recordings, which had never appeared on a Japanese release before. A Japanese essay is included. The second album, Black Metal, was reissued in a cardboard sleeve at the same time. The band's own channel carries official audio of the title track.
