To Cross or To Burn is the second album by Venamoris, the duo of drummer Dave Lombardo — of Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies — and singer-songwriter Paula Lombardo, who writes the songs. It fuses darkwave with metal into something heavy and sombre, and Paula has described it as a darker road than the first record took, with a heaviness across the whole of it that surprised them. The guests are Trevor Dunn of Mr. Bungle on double bass ("Stay with Me"), Ra Diaz of Korn on bass ("Stain of Pain"), Alex Skolnick of Testament on guitar ("Stain of Pain" and "Burnt Paper") and Gary Holt of Slayer on guitar ("Animal Magnetism"). Ipecac Recordings released it on 28 February 2025, and the import edition for Japanese distribution (IPC-284CDJ) followed on 29 March. Ten tracks, four of them with music videos.
