LINER NOTES
A remastered reissue of Black to the Blind, the third album by the Polish death metal band Vader. It went out internationally on 14 March 2025 — the band posted a full album stream on their own channel, noting this was the first time the record had been pressed on vinyl and CD since 2012 — and Marquee Inc. followed in Japan on 18 June 2025 with an SHM-CD, MICP-30204, carrying liner notes and translated lyrics. Vader started in Olsztyn in 1983 around guitarist and vocalist Peter, building gear by hand under the conditions of the Eastern Bloc and, by one account, riding three hours by train to Warsaw simply to have a demo copied. Drummer Doc joined in 1988; two demos and an Earache deal later came the 1993 debut The Ultimate Incantation. Japanese interest jumped with the second album, De Profundis, and a first visit here followed a year after that. All eleven tracks are newly remastered.
