Ride the Rainbow: Ultimate Tribute to Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow

Cleopatra Records released this fourteen-track Rainbow tribute on 19 June 2026, drawing every song from the repertoire Ritchie Blackmore's band recorded between 1975 and 1983. Nearly every track has its own cast: Sebastian Bach sings "Man on the Silver Mountain" with Bob Daisley on bass, Ronnie Romero takes "Stargazer" and "The Temple of the King", Doogie White sings "Catch the Rainbow", and Tim "Ripper" Owens fronts "I Surrender" with Eric Gales on guitar. Two entries stand apart: "Lady of the Lake" is credited to Angel and "Rainbow Eyes" to Mike Tramp. Six players who served in Rainbow itself appear - Daisley, Graham Bonnet, Don Airey, Joe Lynn Turner, White and Romero - with Bonnet returning to "Since You Been Gone" and Turner to "Stone Cold", the latter alongside Vivian Campbell. Marty Friedman, Steve Morse, Derek Sherinian, George Lynch, Rick Wakeman and David Ellefson are among the other guests. Russ Ballard's "I Surrender" is heard twice: with a full band at track ten, then closing the disc as an acoustic reading by Candice Night of Blackmore's Night with Marcus Nand on guitar.
