LINER NOTES
Nell' Ora Blu is the first record Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats have built as a single piece of work from end to end. Kevin Starrs took 1970s Italian cinema as his starting point and wrote the soundtrack to a film that does not exist; every title is in Italian, and instrumentals and songs alternate in a way that asks to be followed as a story rather than sampled. The Cambridge band's psychedelic rock and doom are still there underneath. Rise Above Limited released it on 10 May 2024 and Trooper Entertainment issued the Japanese edition, QATE-10147, on 12 June under the Japanese title Chizome no Blue Hour. Nineteen tracks, about an hour and eighteen minutes.
