Formed in 1978 in Whitley Bay, north-east England, and part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Tygers of Pan Tang return with their first studio album since "Bloodlines" (2023). The international edition arrives on 11 September 2026 through Mighty Music as a digipak CD (PMZ437CD), on LP and digitally; the Japanese edition is issued by Marquee Inc. on 9 September as MICP-12044 and is billed as carrying one bonus track. Marco Angioni, a long-time collaborator of the band, produced the record, and the sleeve was again entrusted to Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art. Singer Jack Meille says "the heavier, the better" was the mantra throughout the writing and recording of "Electrifyed", and the label's description cites the band's 1980 debut "Wild Cat" as the record's starting point. The line-up is founding guitarist Robb Weir with Jack Meille (vocals), Craig Ellis (drums), Huw Holding (bass) and John Foottit (guitar), who joined in January 2026 and appears on a Tygers studio album here for the first time. Three advance singles preceded the release: "Electrifyed" on 4 May, issued with an official video, "Forevermore" on 19 June and "Dark Divinity" on 7 August 2026.
