Reset is the eleventh album by Turmion Kätilöt, the Finnish band who call what they play disco metal: 1990s dance beats welded to metal. MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo gathered a group of metal musicians around the idea in 2003 and made their album debut with Hoitovirhe the following year; at home in Finland they draw crowds in the thousands, and they signed to Nuclear Blast in 2020. In May 2024 they played Japan for the first time, touring with their countrymen Beast In Black. This record is built first and last to be danced to, heavy and rhythmic from beginning to end. The line-up is MC Raaka Pee and Shag-U on vocals, Bobby Undertaker on guitar, Master Bates on bass, RunQ on synthesisers and keyboards and DQ on drums, with Chris Harms of Lord of the Lost guesting on Schlachter. It came out worldwide on 25 October 2024, with Ward Records issuing the Japanese edition, GQCS-91525. Twelve tracks.
