Ashes is the fifth studio album by the Swedish melodic power metal band Tungsten, released on 9 October 2026. The international edition appears on PERCEPTION, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music, and the Japanese edition ships the same day on Ward Records as GQCS-91787 with a Japanese liner-notes booklet and translated lyrics; it carries the same eleven tracks and adds no bonus material. Tungsten were formed in 2016 by drummer Anders Johansson, known for his years in HammerFall, together with his sons Nick (guitar) and Karl (bass, keyboards), and the line-up was completed by vocalist Mike Andersson, previously of Cloudscape. The record follows the debut We Will Rise (2019), Tundra (2020), Bliss (2022) and The Grand Inferno (2024). Five advance singles preceded it: "Bite My Tongue" (5 February), "The North Will Rise" featuring Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica (19 March), "Joker" (7 May), "Sunshine Of Fall" (25 June) and "Fuego Del Sol" (6 August). Around the release the band co-headline the ANTHEMS OF STEEL TOUR 2026 with Induction, 7-18 October, followed by headline dates in Sweden and Norway.
