Blacken the Sky is the first full-length album by Trouble County, a trio from Portsmouth on the south coast of England who formed in 2015. Wormholedeath Japan present them as a band with one foot in older rock and one in the present, and the record as bluesy stoner rock that mixes blues, grunge and classic rock. Twelve songs, about 59 minutes, among them "John Baker" at over eight. It appeared abroad on 13 December 2024; Wormholedeath Japan released the Japanese CD, an import prepared for distribution here, on 30 May 2025 as BITX-1377. The band had put out an EP, Debt We Pay, in 2022, along with singles including "Am I Really".
