Thirty years after his first solo album, Classical Variations and Themes, Timo Tolkki wrote its sequel. The former Stratovarius guitarist takes what he absorbed from classical music and Finnish folk song and puts it directly into the writing here: one piece builds on Grieg's "Solveig's Song", another takes its cue from J.R.R. Tolkien's novels. Two of his Stratovarius colleagues play on it — bassist Jari Kainulainen and keyboard player Jens Johansson — alongside Mikko Härkin, formerly of Sonata Arctica, and Jeff Scott Soto guests on several songs. The album appeared abroad on 15 October 2024; King Records issued the Japanese CD (KICP-4091) on 26 March 2025 with a commentary booklet. Ten tracks, four of them with official lyric videos.
