Thin Lizzy's 74-75: Night Life / Fighting is a seven-CD box built around the band's fourth and fifth albums, Night Life from 1974 and Fighting from 1975, the first albums Phil Lynott and Brian Downey made as a four-piece, with Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson on guitar. It came out on 21 November 2025, and Universal Music Japan released it the same day as a limited Japanese edition of the import on SHM-CD (UICY-80687/93) with translated notes and lyrics, 106 tracks running about seven hours and 24 minutes. Night Life is heard both as first released and in a new stereo mix that Richard Whittaker made under Gorham's supervision, mastered at Abbey Road by Geoff Pesche, while Fighting is remastered and four of its songs, "Rosalie", "Wild One", "Kings Vengeance" and "Silver Dollar", are remixed. Outtakes, B-sides and single edits are split by album across the next two discs, the Night Life half including the demos made with Gary Moore; the last three turn to alternate and extended takes and demos, BBC sessions and concert recordings, and the Derby College of Technology show of 21 November 1975. The Second Disc notes that the box follows the 2024 set 1976 and comes with a 40-page hardback in which MOJO writer Mark Blake supplies the notes, alongside rare photos and a contribution from Jim Fitzpatrick, the artist behind the Night Life cover; Universal Music Japan dates Night Life to 8 November 1974 and Fighting to 12 September 1975, and The Second Disc adds that Fighting gave Thin Lizzy their first UK chart album when it climbed to No. 60. Thin Lizzy's channel has a visualiser for "Rosalie (Outtake)" from disc five, a complete early take recorded at London's Olympic Studios with only a guide vocal.
