The Schoolgirls

An album recorded in Florida in the mid-1990s and then shelved has finally been sold. Eonian Records date the sessions between spring 1995 and early 1996 at City Sound Studio in Ocala, and call THE SCHOOLGIRLS a melodic hard rock band from the state. Nothing came of the tapes then, so this is a first release rather than a reissue: catalogue number ER00095, out through the label on 10 July 2026. The Japanese disc follows on 30 October 2026 from Bit Organization, a direct import with Japanese packaging and the same eight songs. Fronting the group is Kenny McGee, whose earlier band Julliet left the Florida clubs for Los Angeles and a deal with Enigma/Capitol before he returned home. Behind him the label credits Doug Kaye on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Eric Miller on lead and rhythm guitars, Shaun Fetzer on bass, and Jeff Klosterman of Atwood on drums, with Brian Johnson of AC/DC named as producer. Two visitors take a track apiece: Bill Leverty of FireHouse plays the solo on the fourth song, Crimes Of Passion, and Julliet's Jimmi DeLisi adds guitar to the seventh, Shadow On The Wall. Deadly Sin went up on the label's YouTube channel on 12 June 2026, a month ahead. Eight songs.
