The Deccan Traps' self-titled debut came out in Japan through Rubicon Music on 12 November 2025 (RBNCD-1455), with live versions of "Beautiful", "Spellbound" and "Live It Up" added as bonus tracks, liner notes and translated lyrics; the band had been selling its own pressing of the CD online since at least February 2025, and Escape Music's CD (ESM406) and numbered double vinyl followed on 21 November.

The Deccan Traps' self-titled debut came out in Japan through Rubicon Music on 12 November 2025 (RBNCD-1455), with live versions of "Beautiful", "Spellbound" and "Live It Up" added as bonus tracks, liner notes and translated lyrics; the band had been selling its own pressing of the CD online since at least February 2025, and Escape Music's CD (ESM406) and numbered double vinyl followed on 21 November. Neil Fairclough, Queen + Adam Lambert's touring bassist since 2011, plays bass in this British seven-piece, and Ricardo Afonso, once Galileo in We Will Rock You in London, sings. Six of the seven met at a Manchester music college in the early 1990s, Escape Music says. Five singles released since 2020 sit beside five songs first released on the album, including the ten-minute "Dream Of A Thousand Nights", on which Brian May plays a guitar fanfare and a bluesy solo and reads from Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot. The band's channel has official videos for all five singles and a live "Spellbound" filmed at the University of Salford.
