The Darkness assemble the first best-of of their career, choosing and sequencing it themselves, and Warner Music release it on 27 November 2026. It draws on all eight of their studio albums, from the 2003 debut Permission To Land through to Dreams On Toast, which reached number two in the UK in 2025, and it makes room for "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)", long since a fixture of the British December. The compilation became public knowledge in May 2026, when the band put out their theme song for the 2026 Masters Of The Universe film; the full version of that song closes the record. Five formats were announced — a single CD, one and two-LP vinyl, a limited three-CD set and digital — and the extras, live recordings, radio sessions and a separate version of "Masters Of The Universe" with Brian May of Queen, belong to the three-CD edition, so the twenty-one songs listed here are the single-disc running order. Japan takes it as an import, and a small London launch show was announced alongside it.
