Metamorphosis is the debut album by The Dark Side of the Moon, the symphonic metal project built around Melissa Bonny of Ad Infinitum, Hans, the guitarist of Feuerschwanz, and Morten Løwe Sørensen of Amaranthe. The record is a set of themes from film, television and games sung in their own voice: Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter, "May It Be" from The Lord of the Rings, "Jenny of Oldstones" from Game of Thrones, "The Hanging Tree" from The Hunger Games and "The Wolven Storm" from The Witcher among them. Tom S. Englund of Evergrey, the violinist Rusanda Panfili, Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie and Charlotte Wessels guest on it. The sound is modern but holds on to the symphonic metal of an earlier decade and to a certain mystery. Eleven tracks, about 43 minutes. Napalm Records released it on 12 May 2023 and Marquee issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11899, on 7 August 2024.
