Napalm Records and Ward Records both released Tailgunner's Midnight Blitz on 6 February 2026, the Japanese CD (GQCS-91716) coming with translated lyrics and liner notes. The second album from British heavy metal band Tailgunner, fronted by former Induction singer Craig Cairns, was produced by ex-Judas Priest member K.K. Downing, a partnership that grew out of the band's shows supporting KK's Priest. Having toured their debut alongside members of Accept, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, they set out to write an opening track to rank with "Aces High" and "Painkiller". Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art made the lyric video for "Eulogy", a journey into the afterlife that the band traces to Helloween and Blind Guardian, as he had for "Tears In Rain"; Adam Wakeman plays synths on "War in Heaven", the band's first ballad, which, like the title track, has an official video.
