Mer Ström Åt Folket

The third album by Ström, a five-piece from Växjö in the Småland region of southern Sweden. Black Lodge Records, through Sound Pollution, issues it on 2 October 2026; Bickee Music brings it to Japan on 16 October as BKMY-1154, an import carrying an obi strip, Japanese notes and an interview. The line-up is Zdravko Zizmond on lead vocals, Calle Sjöqvist and Johan Siljedahl on guitars, Adam Butler on bass and Tomas Salonen on drums. It was recorded at Tilt Studio in Strömstad and mixed, as the previous record was, by Johan Forsman Löwenström. The band formed in 2019, debuted with Ström in 2022 and followed it with En Orkan På Vår Sida in 2024; the label calls this one rawer, heavier and more confident than anything before it. Broad riffing and singalong choruses in the line of AC/DC, Kiss, Airbourne and The Darkness are the surface, but the thing that sets them apart is that they sing it all in Swedish. Holding on to their own language in a rock scene that runs on English is the whole of their identity. The title translates as "more power to the people", built on the 1970s slogan, and the band frame it as a thank-you to the audiences who make them what they are. Two singles came first, "Fröken Raket" and the title track, both with official videos. They have shared stages and tour buses with Thundermother, Royal Republic, HammerFall and Nestor, and played the Sweden Rock Festival in June 2026.
