Stalwart formed in Saint Petersburg in 1999 and play death and thrash metal shaped by groove and progressive writing. Six full-length albums preceded this one, on Fono, CD-Maximum and PRC Music among others, four of them produced by the Wiesławski brothers at Hertz Studio in Poland. The band stopped in 2019 and the members went on to live on different continents.
Tempvs Edax Rervm is their seventh album and the first since Tectonic in 2016. WormHoleDeath Records announced the signing on 29 November 2025 and released the record on 23 January 2026. The band described it then as a new chapter joining two decades of work to their present perspective; the label call it a record about identity worn away by time. The Latin title means "time, devourer of all things". Pavel Kozhukhovsky sings, Anton Sofronov and Leonid Verman play guitar, Dmitry Ivanov bass and Alexey Timanov drums.
Seven of the eleven songs appeared as singles first, from "Through the Dead Eyes" in April 2024 to "Come and See" in June 2025. WormHoleDeath Japan issue the Japanese edition on 30 September 2026 as a direct import with Japanese packaging, catalogue number BITX1484. Eleven songs, about 55 minutes.
