Hypnotized is the second album by Spektra, the Brazilian melodic rock band whose members had played together since the late 1990s in Tempestt and spent years as a local act at home. Being booked as guests on Jeff Scott Soto's South American tour changed that: they appeared on each other's records and travelled as Soto's touring band, and the experience turned into Spektra. Soto backed their 2021 debut Overload throughout, with Alessandro Del Vecchio writing, engineering and co-producing. The second record pushes the same direction further — firm riffs, clear keyboards, wistful melodies and thick layered choruses. Frontiers and Marquee Inc. released it simultaneously on 12 July 2024, the Japanese CD as MICP-11891 with an acoustic version of "Our Time Is Now" added as a bonus track, twelve in all.
