Return Me To Light is the first album by Soledriver, a project pairing Michael Sweet of Stryper with Alessandro Del Vecchio, the producer at the centre of so much of the Frontiers roster. Del Vecchio writes the wistful melodies and Sweet sings them in the clear, strong voice he is known for. Sweet has said he is a metalhead to the core but loves song-led melodic music just as much -- that he grew up on Loverboy, Toto, Foreigner, Survivor and Journey as much as on Iron Maiden and Judas Priest -- and that he had long wanted to make a record that goes back there. For Del Vecchio the striking thing was being asked to play all the guitars himself, which he does not normally do. The Japanese edition adds an acoustic version of "Wounded". Marquee Inc. released it on 17 November 2023 as MICP-11831. Twelve tracks, about fifty minutes.
