LINER NOTES
The Arsonist is an album by Sodom, who stand with Destruction and Kreator as one of the three great German thrash bands. Steamhammer released it on 27 June 2025, two days after Marquee Inc. put the Japanese edition on sale on 25 June. It is the band's first studio album since Genesis XIX in 2020. All four members wrote for it, and the drums went to a 24-track analogue tape machine with no studio tricks or digital overdubs; Zbigniew M. Bielak, whose work has appeared for Ghost and Mayhem, drew the sleeve. Japan has two pressings: a single disc as MICP-11970, and a limited two-disc edition, MICP-90129, whose second disc carries all five tracks of the 2023 EP 1982 along with a booklet.
