New Horizons is the third album by the Slovenian heavy metal band SkyEye and their first release in Japan. Formed in 2014, they put out the EP Run for Your Life in 2017 and the album Digital God in 2018, and by 2021 Germany's Metal Hammer had named them best newcomer while Rock Hard placed them in its newcomer top five; this record is their first for Reaper Entertainment. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and early HammerFall are the stated reference points, and the album holds to that line from its fastest songs to a closing epic of more than nine minutes. The band is Jan Leščanec on vocals, Grega Stalowsky and Marko Kavčnik on guitars, Primož Lovšin on bass and Jurij Nograšek on drums. The single "Far Beyond", they say, was written early and set aside for two years as a planned bonus track before being reworked into the album proper. Released on 19 July 2024 in both territories; the Japanese CD is Ward Records GQCS-91472. Eleven tracks.
