A Crash Course in Catastrophe is the first album by Sevendials, a trio of Big Paul Ferguson, the Killing Joke drummer, guitarist Mark Gemini Thwaite of The Mission and Peter Murphy's band, and singer Chris Connelly of Ministry and Revolting Cocks. It came out in April 2025 on Creation Youth / Cadiz Music, the label started by Killing Joke bassist and producer Martin "Youth" Glover with Creation Records founder Alan McGee. Ten tracks, two of them covers: the opener reworks Sparks' 1979 single "Number One Song in Heaven" with heavy guitars and drums, and "Obsession" takes Animotion's 1984 hit with New York performer Ashley Bad as guest vocalist. No Japanese edition was pressed — metal100.com lists it as an import dated 11 April 2025. "Number One Song in Heaven" has an official music video, and "Zodiac Morals" and "Wolves" have lyric videos.
