Rise of Akhenaton is the seventh album by Serious Black, the European melodic power metal band, and their first studio record in about two and a half years since Vengeance Is Mine. Roland Grapow of Masterplan and Thomen Stauch, formerly of Blind Guardian, were in the band when it started, and it has held to European melodic power metal ever since. The current line-up is two original members — guitarist Dominik Sebastian, formerly of Edenbridge, and bassist Mario Lochert, formerly of Emergency Gate — with Nikola Mijić singing and Ramy Ali of Freedom Call on drums. Lochert produced the album with Bob Katsionis, mixed it at his own Serious Black Studios, and Konst Fischer mastered it; around its release the band toured Europe with Sonata Arctica and Firewind. AFM Records released it on 27 September 2024 and King Records issued the Japanese edition, KICP-4082, on 23 October, adding an unplugged version of Senso Della Vita as a Japan-only bonus track for twelve in all.
