Blackened Heartbeat is the eleventh album by Secret Sphere, pioneers of Italian power metal. They formed in 1997 and debuted with Mistress of the Shadowlight in 1999, winning listeners with the speed and melody their country is known for. Michele Luppi, their singer from 2012 to 2020, has been in Whitesnake since 2015, and the band's leader, guitarist Aldo Lonobile, was once in Death SS and is in constant demand as a producer -- there has always been a lot going on around this group. Lonobile calls this record the fastest they have made and a power metal storm that shows their dark, heavy side. Roberto Messina, the original singer who returned on the last album, sings it. The Japanese edition adds an acoustic version of "Captive" as a Japan-only bonus track. Ward Records released it on 10 November 2023 as GQCS-91399. Twelve tracks, about fifty-two minutes.
