Hell, Fire and Damnation is the twenty-fourth Saxon studio album. The actor Brian Blessed reads the proclamation that opens "The Prophecy", and the title track comes in behind it like thunder. The lyrics line up Roswell, the Salem witch trials, Hastings in 1066 and the pirate radio stations, and Biff Byford's voice carries them. Behind him are Nigel Glockler on drums, Nibbs Carter on bass and two guitars -- Doug Scarratt and Brian Tatler of Diamond Head. Ten songs of a band flexing, with present-day force, the new wave of British heavy metal it helped create. Militia Guard Music released it on 19 January 2024. Ten tracks, about forty-two minutes.
