Down and Out in Tokyo: Live at Kandamyojin Hall is the live album Savage Messiah made of their own headline show at Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo in October 2019, on their third visit to the country. The London band formed in 2007 around Dave Silver, who plays guitar and sings, started with the mini-album Spitting Venom, signed to Earache in 2012, arrived in Japan with The Fateful Dark in 2014 and headlined here for the first time in 2018. The set that night reaches across their whole catalogue, and the playing keeps thrash metal's aggression and power metal's lyricism colliding. The Japanese edition adds a live "Heretic in the Modern World". Trooper Entertainment released it on 20 March 2024. Fourteen tracks, about an hour and twelve minutes.
