Abomination of Mind

Abomination of Mind is the first full-length album by Sagittarius, a five-piece heavy metal band from Wrocław in Poland, and it takes them somewhere heavier and more progressive, with song structures that do not follow the usual patterns. The band formed in 2019 and spent its early years shaping a sound on the basics of classical songwriting, seen through their own eyes. In April 2022 they put out a demo of "Entropy", and that October came the EP Collapse, which set "Knave" and "Liberate Me" beside the demo and was mixed and mastered at Hellforge Studio by Marco Brinkmann. Marcin Komorowski (vocals), Artur Grzegorczyk (guitar) and Patryk Jacków (drums) all play on that EP; on the album Grzegorczyk takes lead guitar, with Adam Dziubiński on rhythm guitar and Marek Chłopicki on bass. WormHoleDeath announced the signing in August 2026 alongside the first single, "Disaster Dawn", which came with a visualizer, and the album's opening track, "Voice of Myst", followed in September as the second. The seven songs run to about 34 minutes, the title track the longest at almost seven; they were recorded, mixed and mastered at Krecho Sound Studio, and the band credit words and music to Sagittarius as a whole. WormHoleDeath set 9 October 2026 as the worldwide release date. In Japan, WormHoleDeath Japan issue the album on 30 November 2026 as BITX1502, an imported disc with Japanese packaging.
