Midnight Assassin is the second album by Sadistic Force, a trio from Austin, Texas playing blackened speed and thrash metal, and their first release in Japan. Their first album was called the best American release in more than twenty years by writers at home and in Europe. The band's leader, James Oliver, has said this one is a record soaked in blood and fear, written while he worked his way through true crime and 1980s slasher films; the music sits close to Motörhead, Venom, Midnight, Speedwolf and Bat, on the metal-punk side of the line. It came out on 13 October 2023, and Spiritual Beast released the Japanese edition, IUCP-16370, on 28 August 2024, adding two 2024 singles as Japan-only bonus tracks — eleven tracks in all.
