Nine years after Heavy Metal Sacrifice, Sacred Steel returned with Ritual Supremacy on ROAR, the Reigning Phoenix Music imprint. The German band formed in 1996 and became the first German act signed to Metal Blade Records the following year, debuting with Reborn in Steel, and they have stayed with traditional, old-school power metal ever since — no drum triggers, no fashionable synth arrangements, just heavy riffs and a raw voice, closer to epic metal than to anything polished. Gerrit P. Mutz sings, Jonas Khalil and Jörn Langenfeld play guitar, Toni Ieva bass and Mathias Straub drums. Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91607) on 25 April 2025 with translated lyrics and liner notes. Ten tracks, four of them with official videos.
