Rob Moratti's Sovereign was released worldwide by Frontiers Music on 12 December 2025, the same day Marquee put out the Japanese CD (MICP-11993), which adds an acoustic version of "Waiting" and comes with liner notes and translated lyrics. It opens with "Don't Give Up On Love", the first single, presented with a lyric video, and "Can't Let You Go" and "Two Hearts" followed with a music video and a visualizer. The playing is shared between Whitesnake's Joel Hoekstra on lead guitar, Tony Franklin, known from The Firm and Blue Murder, on bass, drummer Felix Borg and keyboard player Fredrik Bergh, who both helped write the songs, and Pete Alpenborg on rhythm guitar and keys. According to Frontiers it is Moratti's sixth solo album and the follow-up to Epical, his first release for the label; the singer started out in the early 1990s fronting his own band Moratti, made four albums with Final Frontier from 2002 and also sang for Saga.
