Pleasure Beats The Pain is the second album by Remedy, the Swedish melodic hard rock band built around the guitarist Roland Forsman — a writer for One Desire and the guitarist in the stage productions of We Will Rock You and Rock Of Ages. The Japanese edition of their first album, Something That Your Eyes Won't See, had only reached shops in February 2024, which makes this a three-month turnaround. Erik Mårtensson of Eclipse mixed and mastered again. The lift and the hooks of the debut are still here, with a darker cast to some of the writing and melodies that stay with you longer. The band is Robert van der Zwan on vocals and guitar, Roland Forsman on guitar, Jonas Öijvall on keyboards, Jonas Dickeryd on bass and Fredrik Karlberg on drums. Escape Music and Ward Records in Japan released it on the same day, 24 May 2024, the Japanese edition as GQCS-91467 with an acoustic version of "My Devil Within" — a song from the first album — added. Eleven tracks, about forty-six minutes.
