Salute is the debut album by Ray of Light, a band assembled in Germany in 2023 around Stephan Bayerlein, the drummer of the German melodic metal group Frontline. The English singer Gregg Cromack and the guitarist and producer Jörg "Warthy" Wartmann joined him, which is how a German band ended up being described as German/British melodic hard rock; the eighth track is called "Frontline" after Bayerlein's other group. The album was released on 14 February 2025, and Bit Organization followed on 28 February with the Japanese edition (BITX-1357), a direct import in a digipak with Japanese packaging. Ten tracks, forty-one minutes. The band have put videos for "City of Angels" and "Stand Up" on their own channel.
