Rainbow's Live in Munich 1977 is the complete concert filmed at the Olympiahalle in Munich on 20 October 1977, during the band's European tour. It is the only full concert ever filmed of the line-up of Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Ronnie James Dio on vocals, Cozy Powell on drums, Bob Daisley on bass and David Stone on keyboards. The set runs from "Kill The King", which had no studio version at the time, through "Mistreated" from Blackmore's Deep Purple years and "Still I'm Sad", the Yardbirds cover that became a Rainbow staple, to the encore "Do You Close Your Eyes". The DVD adds the original promo videos for "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll", "Gates Of Babylon" and "L.A. Connection", a photo gallery, interviews with Bob Daisley and Colin Hart and a feature on Rainbow Over Texas '76. Universal Music Japan reissued it on 20 September 2024 as a three-disc set, UIBY-15142, pairing the film with the concert audio on two SHM-CDs.
